The Intensive English Program / ESL

ESL Programs

The Intensive English Program (IEP)
The Intensive English Program is a 14-week course. Students study 24 hours per week in a range of ESL subjects that include 1) Writing/Grammar 2) Reading/Vocabulary 3) Oral Communication 4) TOEFL Test Preparation and 5) Culture class.
IEP classes are open to any student who is a high school graduate, over 17 years of age and is someone who has a strong desire to work hard in order to learn English. Our IEP classes do have a very academic focus

English for International Students (EIS) Courses
EIS classes are credit ESL courses open to foreign students attending UTSA. If students have a TOEFL score of 500-600 (paper test), they must take an English Language Placement test to see if they need to take EIS courses.

Workforce English as a Second Language & GED courses
We are experts at making special courses to fit your industries needs. We can go into your workplace and research your specific needs and design special English courses for your workforce.
